SMART ENGINEERS assists companies with the planning and documentation of electrical systems.
Our projects are very diverse: ranging from mechanical and plant engineering to automation and instrumentation technology, and including fire detection and alarm systems.
We handle projects of all sizes—from minor modifications to existing systems to large-scale and complex EPLAN projects.
We are looking to expand our existing EPLAN team.
We are specifically not looking for someone who can only use EPLAN.
We are looking for someone who understands electrical engineering, thinks proactively, and is willing to take responsibility for their projects.
Your Responsibilities
You will work on electrical engineering projects using EPLAN Electric P8.
Your responsibilities will include, in particular:
- Creation and Revision of Circuit Diagrams
- Creation of Terminal Diagrams
- Preparation of layout plans
- Creating Cable Lists
- Creation of bills of materials and other reports
- Planning and Selection of Electrical Equipment
- Processing of New Plans
- Editing Existing Systems and Documentation
- Implementation of Various Customer Standards
- Working in accordance with customer-specific CAE guidelines
- Review of Existing EPLAN Projects
- technical clarification within the project team
- Technical coordination with customers as needed
- Handling technical inquiries from manufacturing, assembly, or commissioning
- Improving Our EPLAN Standards and Work Practices
Direct contact with customers typically accounts for only a small portion of your work.
Your focus will remain on technical project work.
What You'll Bring to the Table

The following are ideal:
- Vocational training, technician, master craftsman, or a degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- several years of practical experience in electrical design
- Very good knowledge of EPLAN Electric P8
- a solid understanding of electrical engineering
- Experience with electrical engineering documentation

You don't have to be familiar with every one of our industries.
