What does an electrical planner do?
Core tasks include the creation of circuit diagrams and distribution board plans, the dimensioning of protective devices in accordance with DIN VDE 0100, network calculations, and coordination with executing contractors and construction management.
What is electrical planning?
Electrical planning encompasses all planning services related to electrical systems – from initial conception and standards-compliant plan documentation to construction supervision. It applies to new builds, conversions, and renovations, and includes areas such as building services engineering, building automation, and communication technology.
How does an electrical planning project work?
It starts with a brief briefing: What is being planned, which standards and factory specifications apply, and what interfaces exist with other trades? Building on this, we create the concept and plan documentation, coordinate with construction management and executing contractors as needed, and deliver verified, ready-to-implement documents.
Is a schematic or electrical plan mandatory?
Yes, a circuit diagram is legally required in many areas. Complete circuit documentation is mandatory for the CE marking of machinery and plant systems. Standards-compliant circuit diagrams according to VDE, DIN EN 60617, and DIN EN 61082 are also necessary for the acceptance of electrical installations by experts and authorities, as well as under the Industrial Safety Ordinance.
What exactly is a circuit diagram?
A circuit diagram is a detailed representation of the electrical circuits in a system or machine. It shows how electrical components are connected to perform a specific function.
How much does an electrical planner cost?
The cost of an electrical planner depends on the scope of the project – such as the size of the system, the complexity of the circuit diagrams, and whether a network calculation or risk assessment is included.
